Global Career Center (GCC) actively engages in conferences and events that shape the future of international education and global employability. GCC continues to foster connections, share expertise, and stay at the forefront of industry trends. This month's blog highlights the upcoming conferences that the team will attend during the second half of 2025.
Where: Gothenburg, Sweden
When: September 9-12

The European Association for International Education (EAIE) will be hosting their annual conference this year in Gothenburg, Sweden — the second-largest city in Sweden. From forging global partnerships and crafting intercultural learning experiences to redefining the student journey, Gothenburg provides an inspiring backdrop for collaborative innovation.
GCC's Kate Moore will be attending this conference, click here to schedule a meeting.
Where: San Jose, Costa Rica
When: October 15-17

The Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE) is held every two years in a different host country, with this year's being held in San Jose, Costa Rica. 'Transforming Knowledge Into Development' is the key theme for CAIE 2025, and the conference will offer a dynamic platform for sharing emerging trends, pressing challenges, and proven best practices in international education across the continent. GCC's Chris McKenzie will be attending CAIE 2025.
Where: San Jose, Costa Rica
When: October 19-21

Following CAIE 2025 in Costa Rica, The Forum on Education Abroad will be hosting the Careers, Internships, and Global Learning Conference in San Jose just a few days later. The focus of this year's conference will be "the future of work, employability trends, and the role of global learning in workforce preparation".
Kate and Naveen Shah will be attending, with Kate presenting the concurrent session 'Employer Co-Creation Workshop: What Makes an Ideal Internship?' with Nanette Ripmeester.
As part of an Erasmus+ project, this will be a co-creation workshop with employers to understand how best to shape the future of global
internships. Based on the knowledge acquired, they will do a demo of the workshop, asking local employers for their input. The format of the
co-creation workshop can be used to bring the employer's voice into the discussion around skills development in a systematic way.
Where: Chicago, USA
When: December 1-3

To finish out the year of conferences, The PIE Live North America will take place in December in Chicago, Illinois. This conference will explore the evolving landscape of international education, uniting global leaders to tackle shared challenges and forge innovative partnerships. GCC’s Naveen Shah will also be attending this conference.
The GCC team looks forward to connecting at these conferences! Keep an eye on GCC's Linkedin for real-time updates as each event approaches for the remainder of the year.
