Where's GCC Going to be in 2022

We are looking forward to connecting in person during 2022 and wanted to highlight a few conferences we will be attending. Reach out and let us know if you will be there too!

The Forum on Education Abroad 18th Annual Conference

Takes place March 21-25, Hybrid and in Chicago.

The theme is “Globally Interconnected: New Opportunities and the Challenge of

Change”.

We can’t wait to have a Chicago-Style Hot Dog while re-visiting Wrigleyville.

APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) Annual Conference and Exhibition

Takes place March 27-31 in Vancouver, Canada.

The theme is “Brave New Realities for Higher Education in the Asia Pacific”.

A few favorite restaurants we hope to revisit include LIFT, L’Abattoir, and

Tojo’s.

Good food will be paired with good discussion as GCC’s Kate Moore will be presenting at the following APAIE sessions:

  • International Collaboration in Academic Internships, Co-ops, and Experiential Learning

  • Stepping into the Hybrid World: Lessons Learned for Global Teams

NAFSA 2022 Annual Conference and Expo

Take place 31 May - 3 June in Denver, Colorado.

The theme is “Building Our Sustainable Future”.

For baseball fans, the Atlanta Braves will be in town to take on the Colorado Rockies at the end of that week and we certainly will drop by Bistro Vendome and Bacon Social House at some point during the conference.

Particularly exciting this year? Kate will be on hand to sign copies of the NAFSA Book titled Internships, Service Learning and Research Abroad, one of the new publications to be featured at the conference.

Other Goings On

During the month of May we will also be online for the USAID Higher Education Summit which is focusing on three interrelated themes: Employability, Innovation, and Private Sector Engagement.

In June we are keeping our eyes on the JFF Horizons Summit, BCCIE B.C.

International Education Week, and the NCDA Conference.

Watch this space for updates regarding the second half of 2022, including an exciting announcement about a Forum focused on International Internships during October.
