As 2025 comes to an end, Global Career Center (GCC) is celebrating a year filled with expansion, innovation, and meaningful global experiences. From strengthening institutional partnerships to launching programs around the world, GCC continued delivering on its mission to bridge education and employability on a global scale.

Expanding Global Reach Through New Partnerships & Programs

Throughout 2025, GCC significantly broadened its footprint with new collaborations that enabled a wider range of international internship and experiential learning opportunities.

Early in the year, GCC partnered with East Tennessee State University (ETSU) to facilitate a 2-week internship program in Lisbon, Portugal — one of many initiatives that expanded access to short-term global learning.

The momentum continued as GCC supported a 6-week internship in Mumbai, India, in collaboration with the University of Auckland. This immersive program offered students the opportunity to develop professional skills while engaging deeply with Mumbai’s dynamic culture and global business environment.

Across continents, GCC’s programs empowered universities to offer culturally rich, career-focused opportunities that prepare students for an international job market.

Student Experiences That Inspire

GCC’s internship programs had a defining impact on students, who consistently shared how transformative their placements were.

Leadership in the Global Education & Internship Landscape

Beyond experiential learning programs, GCC also strengthened its role as a global thought leader.

  • The team participated in major industry events such as NAFSA 2025 in San Diego and the International Internship Conference (IIC) 2025 in Minneapolis, where GCC co-led workshops on best practices for building meaningful international internship programs.

  • In the second half of the year, GCC continued its global engagement at conferences including EAIE Gothenburg 2025 in Sweden, further expanding its international network.

GCC also shared more about its core foundations — Community, Connection, Curiosity, Communication, and Compass — which guide every program designed and every partnership cultivated. These five pillars reflect the heart of GCC’s mission: bringing people, places, and purpose together through global experience.

Looking Ahead

GCC enters 2026 with momentum and optimism. The team remains committed to growing its global network, expanding program offerings, and continuing to support transformational learning experiences for students around the world.

Universities and colleges, employers, and partners interested in collaborating with GCC are invited to connect and explore what’s possible for 2026 and beyond. Get in touch at info@globalcareercenter.org to continue the conversation!
