NAFSA 2023 Annual Conference and Expo takes place May 30 – June 2 in Washington, DC. The theme is “Inspiring an Inclusive Future” and do stop by the GCC Poster Session Incorporating International Perspectives on Employability into Global Learning on Thursday, June 1st between 10:30am and 12noon. Among the spots we are looking forward to revisiting are The Dabney, Jaleo, Busboys & Poets, and the National Portrait Gallery.

The International Internship Conference takes place June 13 – 15 in Indianapolis. The theme is “Exploring Convergent Perspectives on International Internships” and come by the Global Career Center Booth to visit with Kate Moore and Naveen Shah. Kate will be facilitating the Pre-Conference Workshop titled Best Practices for Building, Maintaining, and Sustaining a Meaningful International Internship Program at which participants will receive a copy of the NAFSA Book she authored titled Internships, Service Learning & Research Abroad. We are also looking forward to swinging by Bottleworks District, Kurt Vonnegut Museum, and strolling along the Canal Walk.

The 2023 WACE World Conference takes place June 28 – 30 in Waterloo, Canada. The theme is “The Future of Work: Engaging Work-Integrated Learning to Achieve Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Economic Recovery in an Uncertain World” and Kate Moore will be presenting Incorporating International Perspectives on Employability into Global WIL. We are looking forward to our first visit to the University of Waterloo as well as checking out local breweries and markets.
